We’ve read stories about ballers, we’ve read stories of second chance love, but this transcends any preconceived notions of what those stories entail. And isn’t that Kennedy Ryan’s MO? She always manages to not only shatter our ideas of how these stories will go, but she also broaches tough and very real topics that are rarely discussed in books, but that real people deal with all the time. Kennedy Ryan finds a way to show us that we are not alone with every word that she writes.

I was immediately drawn into this story the way the characters were drawn into each other. The connection between Iris and August was palpable from their very first conversation. Once I started this book, I could not stop reading it. I was rooting for Iris and August even when it seemed impossible. There were moments reading this that I was crying and moments where I laughed out loud. This story broke my heart and put it together again. This is a definite MUST READ!
