So we had the exciting opportunity to interview Bee from The Peer and the Puppet. Just a warning, there are potential spoilers in the interview. She was actually a sweet girl, just a little…jaded. I hope you enjoy this interview as much a we did!
1. Barbie, Barb, Bette. You are called different things by different people. Let’s start with, what we should call you?
Call me Bee! Please. I’m not sure I’ve ever been called Barb (at least not to my face) and Barbie is used by people who only care to see what’s on the outside. I have as much consideration for them as they do me. As for Bette…that’s the past. And a lie.
2. What do you want to be when you grow up?
I’m not sure…When I was a kid, I wanted to be Vito Corleone, but even then I knew it was a fantasy. My dreams were snatched from me long before I could learn what they were. I guess one day—when I know I’m free—I’ll finally dream.
3. It’s clear that Jamie cares about you. His family comes from money too right? Why not ask Jamie to be your savior?
If you knew the match you were holding wouldn’t just flame but start a fire so wild nothing on Earth could tame it, would you light it? Jamie doesn’t understand finesse. Only victory. And he’s a smart boy. He’d have figured it out by now if not for that huge chip on his shoulder. It’s blinding him.
4. What took you so long to be honest with Four?
If I couldn’t trust the one person I thought would always be there, I wasn’t about to trust a girl I barely knew. And…I guess I was still holding out hope that Ever would get bored and move on. When I stopped lying to myself, I knew it was time to repay my debt and be the friend Ever deserved. Besides, I didn’t do it for her. I did it for him.
