Review: Muscle Memory by Stylo Fantome

Muscle Memory

Her lips, the way she feels, how she moves against me. Her voice when she laughs, her eyes when she cries. Her soul connected to mine, for better or for worse, for all eternity.

I don’t remember.

A blank face. Unrecognizable. The darkness and impenetrable fog, day after day after day. Who am I? And for that matter, who is she?

I can’t remember.

Two sides to the same coin – one wants to remember, and the other wants to stay forgotten. Which side will win? Can he trust his heart to bring him back to her? Or will she stay lost in the fog forever?

I might never remember.

This, ladies and gents is what romance was meant to be. Gah! This. Book. It was a swoon fest, but not in the least bit cheesy. It felt so raw and authentic. And this had everything to do with the characters. Have I ever read a couple this likable? Sheesh… Jay and Delaney were the terrible two with many faults and existing on the fringe of society. They were so lovable and approachable. Their lives were filled with the unknown, but through it all they loved each other with a fierceness that’s hard to explain. I could feel it, like Muscle Memory GAH! Then the unthinkable happens and I’m left wondering if their love will survive. It was painful to read at times, but I could not part with my kindle.  I normally hate past/present chapters, but it worked so well in this book. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. My heart broke for these characters. I read this book in one sitting and it easily made its way on my favorites list. I will remember these characters forever.
