Another Hangmen book down hopefully 100 more to go! This series gets better with every book. Tillie Cole continues to give us exactly what we need. The way she paces this series is perfect. While we’re wishing for one Hangmen’s story she gives us another just so the pieces fit perfectly in this crazy dark puzzle. Tillie Cole is a genius. I didn’t know what to expect from Tanner’s book. I was actually terrified to read it. I felt like Hush, looking at Tanner with the side eye. I gave Tanner a chance though and I’m so glad I did. I was on the edge of my seat while reading this one. It was angsty to say the least. With every swipe of my kindle I became more anxious. Tanner and Adelita stressed me out!  Sheesh! Tanner and Adelita were one of the most “not meant to be” couples I’ve ever read. Their story tortured me with all of my most hated tropes.  This was a forbidden, haters to lovers, and 2nd chance romance all in one. It worked so well and I swear I didn’t realize these tropes were at play until now. I was so engrossed in Tanner’s story I didn’t realize it was a story. It felt like real life. Damn the tropes. Tanner and Adelita’s love was full of unthinkable obstacles and it survived anyway. This was the epitome of romance. I lived in the moment as I read. I didn’t see those twists and turns coming. They shocked me just as they did the characters in the book.

Throughout all the drama were the freaking Hangmen. I never tire of them. Kai and Styx.  Kai’s love for Styx always get me. Their bond is beyond and every time they interact I want to start the series all over again. Flame and Ash. Gah! I can’t believe Flame did that. I need his novella now! Flame 2.0…smh! Viking. I can not wait until we meet the woman time enough for him. A woman who can tame Viking? Unbelievable.

This. Book. These. Men. I love dark romance and Tillie Cole never disappoints.
