Wow! What a ride. This was definitely the 1st book in a series. Honestly, at the end I have way more questions than answers. I was not expecting the angst surrounding the MCs. I thought with it being the end of the world, I was safe from wanting to throw my kindle…lol. The world building was amazing as is expected with Wendy Higgins. I’m a sucker for RNs in a story, since I’m a nurse when I’m not reading. The characters were authentic and I am dying to know what the heck is going on.  I. NEED. ANSWERS. I don’t know why I did this to myself. We have to wait a whole year!  GAH!!!!!!

Exactly, definitely a 1st book. Wendy Higgins is a trusted author and I am already eager to see what’s going to happen next in this world. The setting is interesting because it’s not that far fetched. This isn’t some far and distant unheard of place, the book is set in what could be modern day America. The parallels in the story and real life make this story even more realistic and the characters even more relatable. The character development was amazing and I am already invested in these characters. Great read! I cannot wait for the next one.
